The research paper cautioned that wireless providers need to move away from merely providing connectivity and enablement and should offer value-added services for their customers.
"The wider M2M market offers a reprieve from declining traditional voice and messaging revenues," Juniper Research analyst Sam Barker said in a statement. "[Wireless] operators are now champing at the bit to capitalize on the growth of M2M."
