The public can now watch all the bidding processes done by Philippine Ports Authority (PPA) online.

"In order to maintain the integrity and credibility of the bidding process, the PPA is going live for every bidding process the agency is conducting," said PPA General Manager Jay Daniel Santiago in a report by Philippine News Agency (PNA).

"We believe that involving the public's eyes during the bidding process is a deterrent to questionable awarding of bids considering the magnitude of the projects," he added.

The biddings can be viewed in PPA's website by clicking the 'Biddings Live Streaming' tab.

The PPA first livestreamed the bidding for the proposed Abra De Ilog port project in Mindoro Occidental on Tuesday (20 June 2017).
